Writing in stone is a forgotten craft, yet it's quite easy, a sign appear by removing matter with a chisel and dummy hammer. Than the sign can be releaved by its own shadow, or rubbed with paper and pencil. I learned stone carving in 2019 with Franck Jalleau, during his workshops. I miss him very much. I enjoyed so much the initiation that I bought the tools right after and kept on carving any stone I could find. This craft requires consistency, rythm, feeling, symbiosis, understanding of volume and sculptural dimension. I'm still seeking for the harmony, between drawing and carving, between the shape and the medium.
