Sinistre is a new take on a Gaelic genre tinted by a fantasy touch, marrying the purity of a classic roman letterform with an Insular Uncial, perhaps called Caroline. Starting in 2017 by looking at the infamous Stonehenge font, while frequently seing at appearing on the streets of Nevers, over the storefront of Kebab and Celtic shops. Nevertheless I took it as a sign and started sketching a slow revival, to get to understand from where it came, with no particular knowledge of lettering and its evolution through history. It is now the fifth time this typeface his reworked, with an addition of new weights, from regular to black, by passing bold. The light version is still under development, while the ornamental cut is the same as it was in 2019.
