Beladrys

Beladrys is a revival of Hermann Ihlenburg’s Victorian typeface Columbus (1890, ATF). It started in 2018 with a digitalisation of the lettering on the hardcover of Nature and Culture by Barbara Novak. Afterward, I found out this letterforms reminds the Call of Cthulhu, an H.P. Lovecraft roleplaying game. Perhaps a certain taste of it was unintentionally impregnated in the rework, yet my version turns out to be more Elvish in the spirit of Tolkien’s imagination.
